  GOWING, Jane Nicol (nee Mathew) Died peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, January 2, 2004. Loving mother of Robert Gowing and his wife Irene, Donna Bruckman, Norma Kerr and her companion Dave Lewis, Betty Stainsby and her husband Steve and Catherine Roberts and her husband Randy. Survived by 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Lavern Gowing (1998) and her son-in-law, Jay Pfaff. Jane was a longtime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, holding various titles, most recently past Dean of Academy of Friendship. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, 653-3251, on Tuesday, January 6, 2004, from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. (Moose Lodge service at 7 p.m.). Funeral service will be held at Knox Galt Presbyterian Church, 2 Grand Avenue South, Cambridge, on Wednesday, January 7, 2003, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
