- HOWEY, Jean Lucy - Born in the United Kingdom, died peacefully on October 20, 2008 in Cambridge at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Esky Howey (1992). Dear mother of Jonathan (Linda) of Kitchener and Janet Adams (Bill) of Guelph. Loving Granny of Jeremy (Shelly), Jennifer, Kimberly (Andy), Kathy and Kelly. Survived by her sister, Von Patterson of England; and by her nephew, Nigel; and niece Michelle. Predeceased by her sister, Peggy King of England (October 5, 2008). Jean served in the Second World War and immigrated to Canada in 1957 with her husband and children. She was a longtime member of Trinity Anglican Church and was a volunteer at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held at Coutts Funeral Home , 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. In memory of Jean, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers at Fairview Mennonite Home for the loving care they have provided for Mum.
