- WILHELM, Jerome Anthony (Lou) - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 67. Loving son of Marcella (nee Zettel) Wilhelm and her late husband Harry (1980). Dear brother of Helen Wilhelm, Charlene Schell (Tom) and Jim Wilhelm (Sally). Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews, Mary Ann (Steve), Jeff (Robin), Katelyn, Cameron, Sarah (Chris), Amy, Jane, Lauren, Olivia, Jeremy and Lindsay. Jerome was a Charter and 3rd Degree member of the Maryhill Knights of Columbus. He was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed softball, hockey and bowling. At Jerome's request a private family Funeral Mass took place at St. Boniface R.C. Church, Maryhill followed by interment at St. Boniface Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a memorial gathering from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Transplant Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Special thanks to the Doctors and nurses at St. Joseph's Transplant Unit and Juravinski Cancer Centre, Hamilton and Grand River Hospital for all the care given to Jerome over the years.
