      Peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, July 29, 2016 in her 87th year at St. Peter's Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived, Susan Stavin by her (Edward), loving children; Barbara Livingston (Carlos) and Robert Blackie (Erin). Adored Grammy of Brianne Streker (Joe Nestman), Mary Lynn Blackie, and David Stavin, and cherished aunt of Mark O'Leavey and family. Predeceased by her parents, "Howard and Gertrude Schedewitz, and twin sister Jean O'Leavey. Special thanks to St. Peter's and Juravinski Hospitals and New Village Retirement Home for their exceptional care and support. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 BOTANICAL DRIVE, BURLINGTON (905-527 0405) off Thursday, August 4th from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow in the Chapel of the Funeral Home. Donations in honour of Joan may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Juravinksi Cancer Centre Foundation.
