  FURTADO, Joao Ferraz Peacefully, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at the age of 76. Yearning his presence and remembering his wittiness are his wife, Fernanda Furtado (nee Couto) and his menina, Elizabeth Furtado (Lewis). Brother, of Manuel, Luis, Mariano (Conceicao), Eduardo (Maria Jose), Guilherme (Zelia) and his sister in law, Maria. Joao will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, whom he had special names for in the 'Furtado Language, as well as family members and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Maria Sao Joao and Manuel, his brothers; Jacinto, Denis, Antonio and Jose, as well as his mother and father in law, Evangelina and Manuel Pereira and his sisters in law, Isabelle and Maria do Carmo. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Friday, from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, September 5, 2010, at 10a.m., with Luis Lima officiating.
