One of the world's first supersonic fighter pilots (RCAF 1950-1974),/ "top gun" in several NATO competitions. Received Lockheed award for CF 104 hours/ logged, member of the Caterpillar Club, member of the Order of Arctic Explorers for/ crossing the Arctic Circle. Test pilot, commercial pilot. He lived there from approximately 9 months or 1 year of age until he was an adult and joined the RCAF. He later resided there briefly with my mother and three sisters and his grandmother around 1970 or 1971 when he returned with my family to Waterloo Region. This was only for a number of months while our home on Meadowlane Drive was being built. After living on Meadowlane until 1984 or so, we then purchased and moved to 22 Margaret Avenue in Kitchener. His last residence, where he passed away, was 599 Manorwood Court in Waterloo - our family home for 18 years. The house on Pine Street was torn down in the 1970s when his grandmother passed away.
