  John Burritt Henderson Passes John Burritt Henderson of Water Street, Ayr, passed away Saturday, December 18th, while at a hockey tournament in Tavistock in which his son was participating. Mr. Henderson was in his 49th year. Born and educated in Bobcaygeon, he was a son of the late Thomas H. Henderson and Mrs. Elizabeth Henderson who still resides there. He first worked in Peterborough, then went to Toronto where he worked as a salesman with Barker's Biscuits and General Mills. Eleven years ago, he became Canadian Sales manager for Norwich Pharmacal Co. Ltd. in Paris. At that time the family moved to Ayr. Mr. and Mrs. Henderson, the former Joan Wilson, celebrated their 25th Anniversary last December 30th. Mr. Henderson took an extremely active interest in children's sporting activities in Ayr. He helped with both the Ayr Minor Hockey and Ayr Minor Softball organizations. He was also a member of Zeta Masonic Lodge in Toronto. Surviving besides his wife and mother are a son John Jr. and a daughter Jody Ann. both at home. Predeceased by his father and two sisters. A memorial service was held by Ayr Masonic Lodge on Monday evening. Funeral service was held at the William Kipp Funeral Home, Pans, on Tuesday. Rev. D. F. \\vim, of Ayr officiated. Interment in Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Walter Anderson. Jerry Stoll, John Sproule. Nino Tedesco, Laurie Reynolds and Webb McCurdy. The Ayr News 23 Dec 1976 pg 21
