Passed away peacefully, at the John Noble Home, Brantford, on Thursday, December 8, 2005, in his 90th year. Dear father of Peter of Alberta; loving grandfather of Stan, Melisse and Meline; great-grandfather of Stan. Dear brother of Anna, Helen and Marie. Loving uncle of Irene Baluk, Stan Lesiek, Zygmunt Lesiek and their families, Gregory Kaczmarczyk, Alicje Majos and their families. John will also be sadly missed by his many family and friends in Poland and Canada. John was a veteran of the Second World War as a member of the 2nd Corp., serving in Middle East, Africa, Italy and being decorated for his service. John was a member of the Polish Legion Branch 412. Family received friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Friday evening 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass was held today Saturday, December 10, 2005, at 10 a.m., at St. Clements RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.
