  Schaus, John L. - At St. Raphael's Nursing Home, on Tuesday, April 28, 1981, after a brief illness, John Ludwig Schaus, formerly of 7 Eby St. N., Kitchener, aged 76 years. A member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Had owned and operated Schaus Meat Market for 52 years. He was a vendor at the Kitchener Market for over 50 years. Father of Ronald Howard of Kitchener; brother of Mrs. Carl (Hilda) Bindernagel, both of Kitchener, Mrs. Frank (Elmita) Arnold of Hamilton. Four grandchildren, Jay and Todd Ahrens and Karen and Kelly Schaus also survive. Predeceased by his parents; his wife, Hazel in 1975; one daughter, Marlene in 1971; two brothers, Armand and Garfield and one sister, Elizabeth. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, until noon on Friday, when removal will be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Chapel where the funeral and committal service will be held at 2 pm with Pastor Harold Brill officiating.
