  We are sorry to hear of the death of John S. Blatchford, which took place at the Winnipeg Hospital, in the end of last month, in which place he had been staying since last fall The funeral took place on the 29th of August and he was buried near Lothair, close by where he had been living Mr. Blatchford was well known in this place, having lived in the village for over forty years and at one time carried on a large business in the carriage making and blacksmith shop, his many friends will be sorry to hear of his death, as he was well liked by all his neighbors as a blacksmith, there were few, better, and some of the best blacksmiths about, learned their trade in his shop.
