  Obituary of Joyce Klawitter It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Klawitter after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 29th 2015. Joyce passed away peacefully at Lisaard House in Cambridge, at the age of 82. Joyce was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was the daughter of the late George and Irene Birmingham. Joyce is survived by her son Jeffrey. Grandchildren; Amanda, Cory and Andrew. Brother Floyd (Faye) Birmingham. Sisters; Georgina Becker and Mary (Larry) Blaskavitch. Joyce will also be sadly missed by her entire step family. Stepmother to Randy (Denise) Klawitter and Karen (Bud) Helwig and their families. She will also be fondly remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Henry Klawitter, who passed away on the same day in 2008 and her step-granddaughter Cindy Selnes (nee Helwig). Joyce had a passion for life and brought a smile to everyone who knew her. She was an amazing woman who could always look at the bright side. Joyce was an inspiration to her family and she will be loved and remembered always. Joyce was a member of the First United Church in Waterloo. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. Waterloo on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow in the Fireside Room in the funeral home. Memorial donations to Lisaard House or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
