- Old New Hamburg Boy Dies.
We are very sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Julius F. Spring, of Madison, Wisc., which occurred on Monday last. The deceased was a son of the late Rev. Chr. F. Spring, for many years pastor of the local Trinity Lutheran Church. The deceased was born in New Hamburg and spent his boyhood days here. Following his school days he learned the printing trade in the New Hamburg Independent office and was employed in this office for several years. He left here about forty years ago and since followed his calling in various places in the United States. He is survived by his aged mother of Ann Arbor, two brothers, Mr. August Spring, of Dearborn, Mich., Rev. Adolph Spring, of Deshler, Neb., and four sisters, Mrs. Frederick Volz, of Saginaw, Mich., and Misses Hannah, Emma and Thusnelda Spring, of Ann Arbor. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, March 5th, at Ann Arbor.
