- R. D. Colvin, June Pritchett Wed in Preston
By Record Correspondent
PRESTON Last evening in twilight ceremony at St. Paul's United Church, Preston, June Barbara Pritchett, elder daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Leonard W. Pritchett, was married to Mr. Robert Dolph Colvin, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Gordon Colvin. Rev. H. J. Herlihey officiated and Mr. Duncan Addison played the wedding music.
The bride's gown was of classic design, fashioned of bridal satin in a blush tone. The long, fitted. torso had a contour neckline and. long sleeves with deep cuffs. The skirt, from a softly draped front, formed deep paniers on the hips: and swept into long floating panels accentuating the chapel train.
Her headdress matched her gown, and held a hip length veil. of sheer tulle accented with me dallions of Alencon lace. She carried a sheaf of cream gladioli and ivy.
The bride's sister, Mrs. Edward A. Young, was the matron of honor. Her gown was of mint. green shot taffeta. The long, fitted bodice had a softly draped, surplice neckline. The floor-length skirt fell into deep box pleats. Her headdress, of the same material as her gown, was trimmed with shell pink ostrich and she carried gladioli in tones of pink.
Mr. John Hilborn of Preston was. best man and Mr. Rex Crego of Ottawa and FO Robert Cressman of New Dundee were the ushers.
The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents.
Receiving guests, the mother of the bride wore a gown of jade green, with matching hat and oyster accessories, and the bridegroom's mother wore a gown of slate gray, featuring a lace jacket and complemented by coral pink accesories.
Following a holiday in the Mus koka district Mr. and Mrs. Colvin will live in Galt.
The bride is a graduate of Royal Victoria Hospital, School of Nursing, Montreal, and the University of Western Ontario, and the bride- groom is a graduate of the faculty of applied science, Queen's University, Kingston.
