- JESSE VURPILLAT KILLED.
His Death Occurs at Chicago Last Evening.
Jessie Vurpillat, of Chicago, a former boss bridge carpenter on the Chicago division of the Pan Randle, was killed there last evening. Deceased was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Robert Carroll, of this city, and is well known here. He leaves a wife and five children all grown. He formerly lived at Winamac but moved to Chicago a few years ago and had been an employe of the Pan Handle for many years. The funeral will occur Monday at 12:40 when the remains arrive from Chicago. The funeral cortege will proceed from the depot to St. Vincent De Paul church and from thence to the St. Vincent cemetary in Mt Hope.

A Brother's Death.
Jesse Vurpillat, the Panhandle rail-roader, who was killed in the Chicago yards last Friday, was a brother to Frank Vurpillat, the carpenter and contractor, of this city. attended his brother's funeral in Logansport Monday.

JESSE VURPILLAT'S DEATH
Was Occasioned by a Fall From the L Road.
The remains of the late Jesse Vurpillat were brought to this city at one o'clock this afternoon and laid to rest in Mt. Hope cemetery Deceased met his death by falling from the elevated road at Chicago his neck being broken in the fall He was in his sixtieth year and leaves a family, consisting of s widow, three daughters and two sons, all grown and in easy circumstances. The family accompanied the remains to this city.
