WITTHULN-GLEISER A quiet but very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gleiser, Young Street this afternoon when their granddaughter, Miss Maude Gleiser was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Mr. Walter Witthuhn son of Mr. and Mrs. August Witthuhn of Hamilton in the of the immediate relatives presence of the contracting parties.
The happy event took place in" the spacious drawing room, which was beautifully and artistically decorated for the occasion. Precisely at 3 o'clock to the strains of Lohengrins wedding march beautifully rendered by Miss Myrtle Witthuhn sister of the groom the bride entered leaning on the arm of her grantfather.
She was attended by Miss Lillie Witthuhn of Hamilton while Mr. Arthur Mueller cousin of the bride, assisted the groom. At the' proper moment Rev. F. Bockelmann stepped forward and tiet the nuptial know.
After receiving the congratulations of the assembled guests a most suptous wedding dinner was served the dining room being resplendent in dainty decorations.
The bride was the recipient of many useful, costly as well as ornamental presents and shows the high esteem in which she is held by her hosts of friends. Mr. and Mrs. Witthuhn left on the evening train for a honeymoon trip to Hamilton, Toronto and other eastern points and on their return will s take up their residence in Waterloo. The News Record joins heartily in wishing Mr. and Mrs. Witthuhn many years of happy married bliss.

Mrs. Walter Witthuhn
Mrs. Walter Witthuhn, 66, of 52 Dupont St. East, Waterloo, died today in K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born July 24, 1894, in Toronto, she was the former Maud Gleiser. She moved to Waterloo as a child and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her step- mother, Mrs. Lucinda Braun of Kitchener; her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Audrey) Michels of Waterloo, Mrs. Luther (Bunny) Eberhardt of Milverton; one brother, Harry of Preston; six sisters, Mrs. Joseph Grainger of Weston, Mrs. Louise Silver and Mrs. James McAvoy of St. Catharines, Mrs. Wallace Brown and Mrs. Jean Wilson of Preston, Mrs. Percy Karn of Kitchener, and three grandchildren.
The body will be at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, after Wednesday noon. Funeral will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. by Rev. A. L. Conrad. Burial will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.
