- SHANTZ, Keith Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the Oncology Unit of Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre, Kitchener. Keith resided in Kitchener and was born 54 years ago and was the son of the late Wayne and Susie (Wanner) Shantz. Beloved husband of Brenda (Bennett) Shantz whom he married September 17, 1993. Loving dad to Joel Shantz and Natalie Shantz both at home. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gloria and Garry Spencer of Newton, Pauline (Minnie) and Dave Weber of Mildmay, Mark and Monica Shantz of Baden, Ralph and Sandra Bean of Wellesley and Rodney Bennett of Kitchener. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Alan, Janice, Joanne, Matthew, Christine and Kandas. Remembered by the Good family, Dale and Doreen Good, Bob and Sandi Good, Carl and Joyce Good and their families and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Keith was predeceased by a son Evan in infancy, sisters Esther Shantz in infancy, Martha Bean, brother David Shantz, nephew Robert Spencer, step-dad LeRoy Good and mother-in-law Gladys Bennett. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Wilmot Centre Missionary Church, 2463 Bleams Road, Petersburg on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilmot Centre Missionary Church with Pastor Chris Gatten officiating. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to WELL-FIT at the University of Waterloo (helps cancer patients with their recovery). Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , New Hamburg assisted with the arrangements.
