Suddenly, at his home on Roseville Rd. in Cambridge, in his 84th year. Ken Rife is survived by brothers, Arnold of Kitchener and David and his wife Eileen of Cambridge and many nieces and nephews and their families. He will also be lovingly remembered by many neighbours and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Lillian (nee Courtney) Rife; sisters, Lillian O'Neil and her husband Harry, Carol Dunnett and her husband Alec and brothers, John, Charles and his wife Leone and a sister-in-law, Jessie Rife. Ken lived all of his life on the farm where he was born and farmed for many years. He was an accomplished wood-worker and loved his garden. He was secretary-treasurer of Nith River Petroleums Ltd. for several years prior to his retirement. He served two years in the military as a gunner during the Second World War. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel, on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at 1: 30 p.m., with interment to follow.
