Notes - GOODING, LaVona Fern Peacefully on November 3, 2011, at The Westmount Long Term Care, LaVona Gooding, formerly of Plattsville, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Sherwood "King" Gooding who predeceased her on September 17, 1990. Loving mother of Linda McGrath (nee Hird) of Kitchener, Lavern of Winnipeg, Alan and wife Mami Ishihara of Calgary, Carl and wife Colleen of Baden and Elaine and husband Steve Bechthold of Petersburg. She will be sadly missed by sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by son Ronald James Hird (1997), by her son-in-law Norb McGrath (1994) and by her sister Beulah Wilson. Relatives and friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William Street, Plattsville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Orlowski officiating. Interment in Roseville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Breast Cancer Research, Emmanuel Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be sent at www.gffh.ca
