- GUENTHER, Leander (Lee) At his residence, 221 Ahrens St., Kitchener, on Thursday, April 4, 1985, in his 77th year.
Mr. Guenther was an active member of the AA for 33 years, the Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo Branch 530 and was a veteran of the Second World War.
Father of Donald, Mary, Carl and Carol (Mrs. David Bonn), all of Kitchener, Jack of Waterloo, William of Kingston and Jean Flynn n of Toronto; Brother of Mrs. Viola Finney, Elmer (Hank), Herbert and Otto (Bus), all of Waterloo, Eva (Mrs. Floyd Stumpf) of Kitchener, Delores (Mrs. Lindsay Holman) of Cambridge and Mrs. Beatrice Walton of Hamilton. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Guenther; one brother, Milton and one grandson, Christian.
Mr. Guenther's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, after 2 p.m. today. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at St. Louis RC Church at 11 a.m. (Monday). Cremation to follow with interment in the Soldier's Plot at Parkview cemetery.
Donations to the General Cancer Research Fund at Toronto General Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. 6c.
