  HAGMEIER, LOUIS GORDON was born in Hespeler on June 5, 1887, a son of Abraham Hagmeier. He was educated in the local schools, and in Galt Collegiate. He graduated in medicine from the University of Toronto in 1911. He then went to New York for postgraduate work, specializing in surgery. His career paralleled that of his brother Edwin, and he practised surgery in this partnership until the Preston Springs Hotel was taken over by the military. He then withdrew from practice and developed an extensive farming operation near Grand Bend. Dr. Alexander D. Campbell, Doctors in Waterloo County 1852-1925 ___________________ HAGMEIER, Dr. Louis Gordon - Peacefully, at his home, in Beach O'Pines, Grand Bend, Ont., in his 99th year. Beloved husband of the late Elva Moyer (1967) and the late Marie (Breithaupt) Martin (1979); also predeceased by one brother, Dr. J. Edwin Hagmeier of Kitchener (1982). Survived by three daughters, Katherine Elizabeth (Betty) (Mrs. A.H. MacCarthy) of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Elva Jean (Mrs. W.H. Schlegel) of Grand Bend, Ont. and Gorda Anne (Mrs. J.A. Gibson) of Edmonton, Alta.; also by seven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. A private family service was held on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the R.C.
