  Louisa was a daughter of Johann Christian Friedrich "Fritz" Begerow and Maria Magdalena Dorothea Rummel. She sailed form Hamburg, Germany on the ship "Southerner" and arrived at New York City with her father and step-mother and four siblings on September 2, 1852. They settled at Killean in Puslinch Township, Wellington County, Ontario, where her father farmed and kept a tavern. On November 13, 1859 in Waterloo County she was married to Carl "Charles" Hadler. They lived in Preston In Waterloo County, Ontario for a while then migrated to the United States, finally settling in Brockport near the Erie Canal in Monroe County, New York. Her husband was a mason. They had one child together: Mary A. Hadler, who married Frederick Meinhardt.
