Called Home to be with the Lord It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful Louiseā¦ our little ray of sunshine.
Louise passed away peacefully at home in Floradale on Saturday, July 31, after a brave and dignified battle with cancer, surrounded by her family.
Loving wife and best friend of John (Jack) for 43 years.
Loving mother to Christine (Neil), Lori and Jason (Renee and Liam).
"Mom" to Tippy and Gracie.
Daughter of Isabelle (Forget) and the late Carl Lehmann.
Predeceased by her brother Patrick.
Dear sister to Carol (Tony), Barb (Doug), Bob (Glenna), Ed, Margie (Brian), Mary Ann (Joe).
Special Aunt to many nieces and nephews and "Grandma Louise" to many children in her neighbourhood and in her care.
Louise was a long time member of St. Theresa of Avila Church in Elmira.
While raising her 3 children, Louise was employed by Zehrs Markets, Canada Trust/Bank of Montreal and Extend A Family.
Louise touched so many in simple yet profound ways. Her warm smile, welcoming arms, and cheery, gentle disposition brightened many people's lives and made all those who met her instantly love her.
A very special thank you to everyone who helped us to keep mom at home by providing support and delicious meals.
A special thanks to the Care Partners nurses - Heather, Jane, Diane, Nancy, and to Dr. Kelleher.
Thank you to all the staff at the GRRCC, especially Dr. Elaine Bouttell for her care and personal touch.
Interment St. Boniface Cemetery, Maryhill.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Extend A Family Waterloo Region, HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre or the Canadian Cancer Society.
