  SPERLING, Louise Edna Peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Sarnia, on Monday, December 6, 2010, Louise Edna Sperling, age 96, of Sarnia. Beloved wife of the late Herman Michael Sperling (1999). Loving mother of James Robert Sperling and his wife Carolyn and Douglas Ross Sperling and his wife Susan. Cherished grandmother of David (Maritza), Kenneth (Lisa), Glen (Dawn), Melissa (Matt) and Jedd (Amy). Dear great-grandmother of Wilfred, Edison, Keaton, Andrea, Anna and Heather. Remembered by her sisters Edith Stiefelmeier, Muriel Stauffer and May Sperling and by sister-in-law Eleanor Sperling. Louise is predeceased by her sister Bernice Hahn. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Louise was a long time volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society. Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME , 1576 London Line, Sarnia. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 429 Indian Rd. N., Sarnia, with family and friends being received from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Redeemer Lutheran Church.
