- BAST, Mrs. Emerson (Lucinda) -Peacefully, on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 1995, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Lucinda Mary Bast, of RR 1, St. Clements (Heidelberg). Born in Wellesley township 74 years ago, daughter of the late Rudolph Bast and the late Elizabeth Boshart. Lucinda was a member of Maple View Mennonite Church. Beloved mother of William (Bill) Bast of Heidelberg, Linda and her hus-band Peter Walpole of New Hamburg. Dear sister of Sarah and the late Simon Zehr of Millbank, Tillie and the late Hubert Frey of North Delta, B.C. and June and her husband Russell Hackett of Waterloo; sister-in-law of Beatrice Bast of St. Agatha and Nancy Bast of RR 3, Wellesley; cherished grandma of Tim, Tia-Lynn, Terry and Tiffany Walpole. Predeceased by her husband, Emerson Bast (December 10, 1992) and by one son, Donald James in 1950; also by three brothers, Samuel, Herbert and Aaron; by two sisters, Rachel Gerber and Clara Gerber. Visitation at the Futher Bros. Fu-neral Home, 40 Henry Street W., in Wellesley, where family and friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Friday, September 1, removal will be made to Maple View Mennonite Church for the funeral service at 2: 30 p.m. Pastor Ray Erb will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Canadian Cancer So-ciety would be appreciated as ex-pressions of sympathy for the late Lucinda Bast. Special thanks to 5D North nursing staff, especially Lisa and Sonja.
