- GASCHO, Lyle John Passed away on Friday, September 20, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener surrounded by his family. Lyle resided in Kitchener and was formerly of Wellesley. He was born 81 years ago in Wellesley Township and was the son of the late Aaron and Barbara (Lebold) Gascho. Beloved husband of Sandra (Schaaf) Gascho who he married July 8, 1961. Loving father of Debbie Heyer and friend Jeff of Waterloo, Brian and Lisa Gascho of Kitchener and Anita Bender of Waterloo. Dear grandfather of Stacy and Mark Weber, Marsha and Jason Holst, Nathan Gascho, Jordan Bender. Remembered by his sisters Elaine Thomas, Geraldine Gascho both of Kitchener, brother David and Agnes Gascho of Calgary, Alberta and a number of nieces and nephews. Lyle was predeceased by son-in-law Donald Heyer, sister Thelma and Lee Doerr and brother-in-law Mervyn Thomas. Lyle was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley where he had been a trustee and operated the elevator and was involved with the construction of the new addition in 1992. He had a passion for motorcycles and enjoyed woodworking, construction and was happy to pass his knowledge on to others. His evenings were spent watching Wheel Of Fortune and Jeopardy after the news. Lyle and Sandy enjoyed many years of traveling Canada and the United States in their motorhome. Family and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 24, at 11:00 a.m. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wellesley with Pastor Andy Schroth officiating.
