  Madeline Olivia Riley Friday, December 15th, 1922 - Monday, December 12th, 2022 Riley, Madeline "Mally" (nee Luft): It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Madeline Riley, three days shy of her 100th birthday. Our little Timex (takes a licking, but keeps on ticking), who survived a depression, a world war, 5 children, 1 stroke and Covid, decided enough was enough. Loving mother of John (Sonia) Riley, Abbie (Wayne) Cavasin, Leslie (the late Alan) Moore, Jamie (Debbie) Riley and Allyson Haggerty. Cherished Nanny of Cassandra, Matthew, Addison (Molly), Grayson (Thea), Meghann (Lucas), Lyndsay, Jared (Amanda), and Bananny of Elliott, Quinn, Kaydance, Jacqueline and Fraser. Dear sister of Elsie (the late Ron) Martin and Don (the late Joan) Luft. Aunt Mally will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Jack and Walter Luft. Mally had a love for the fine arts, enjoying opera, ballet and music. She was the Queen of crosswords. Mally put her family above all else. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother, always at the ready to help wherever she was needed. As per Mally's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service held. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467. As expressions of sympathy, donations to CNIB Foundation - Guide Dogs or the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
