- Marjorie Cora Joseph
MARCH 16, 1923 \endash FEBRUARY 27, 2012
Passed away peacefully at Bankside Terrace Villa Monday February 27th, 2012 at the age of 88. She was a beautiful, loving, brave, independent and principled woman. Throughout her life she was a caring pillar of strength and a moral compass for her children James (Joan), Robert (Lynne) Donald (Margaret) and Debra (Carl Vosatka). She touched all who knew her, even if for a short time. Marjorie was predeceased by the love of her life, Bill, William R Joseph and they enjoyed almost 59 years of marriage before Bill's passing in 2005. She will be terribly missed by her children, as well as her Grandchildren Amy Bridger, Karen Joseph, Daniel Joseph, twins Megan and Michael Joseph, Shannon Vosatka and Miranda Kearns. Marjorie was immensely proud of her special relationship with her twin brother, Graham Jackson. She also shared a special bond with Graham's twin granddaughters Sarah & Susan van de Merwe. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Neil Jackson, Donald Jackson, Jean (Gordon) Parkhill, Graham and Murray Jackson. Marjorie and Bill's families became one big family and she will be missed by brothers & sisters-in-law Patricia Jackson, Olive Jackson Mosely, Doris Hurlbut, Elsie Pearce, Ernie Joseph and Etta Jackson Naylor. Predeceased by sisters and brother in-law Frieda Brauneisen, Anne Atwood, and Walter Joseph. Marjorie's many nieces and nephews were always loved and welcomed to the dinner table and have many happy, and loud memories at the Joseph home. A proud Charter Member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church family, she was among the first female elders in the Presbyterian ministry. Marjorie had a special place in her heart at Calvin for Rev Mark Gedcke, and the Dickie Family.
