  Martha was born in Woolich Ontario, and came west to Edmonton in 1905 and worked for the Edmonton Bulletin. She married in Stoney Plain and moved to North Battleford in 1913. She was a member of the United Churches of North Battleford and Delisle, as well as belonging to many organizations.
