  • Notes
    • An exceedingly sad death took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ephraim F. Betzner, in Conestogo on Friday evening at 7 o'clock when their only eight-year-old daughter, Nancy Arvilla, succumbed to a severe attack of infantile paralysis. The little girl was around as bright and cheerful as usual during the earlier part of the week but on Tuesday symptoms of the strange disease was evident and despite all the medical attention possible death claimed the young child. Her untimely demise is an irreparable blow to the parents and her young associates and the sympathy of their friends and acquaintances will be extended to them in their severe affliction. Mr. and Mrs. Noah Betzner, Lancaster Street, Berlin, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Martin, Conestogo, are grandparents of the deceased. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home in Conestogo t the Old Mennonite church and cemetery in Bloomingdale for interment.
