Of Rose Street, Cambridge, passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, October 27, 2002, in his 79th year. He will be sadly missed by his family and loving wife of 57 years, Vera Paulitzki. Dear father of Robert and his wife Rosemary, Linda White and her husband Les and Janice Kennell and her husband Ernie, all of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by three grandchildren, Laura and Joanne Kennell and Jennifer White. Predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Elsie Esch; two brothers, Earl and Bill and three sisters, Gert Scott, Mary Esch and Evelyn Schuller. Mr. Esch was born in Doon and has been a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126 and was employed as a shipper/receiver with Preston Manufacturing, retiring 13 years ago. He was a veteran of the Second World War. At Nelson's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (810 King St., Cambridge), on Friday, November 1, 2002, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Neil Thomsen officiating. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens, Breslau.
