- Funeral Saturday For Crash Victims
The funeral service for Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson of 87 Oxford St., who were killed Tuesday when their car went into the Severn River near Port Severn, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgeport.
A memorial service by the Waterloo Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Legion will be al held at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home Friday at 7:30 p.m. The bodies will be at the funeral home until 11 a.m. Saturday when removal will be made to the church. Rev. Harold Brill and Rev. Roy Webb will conduct the funeral services. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson both lived in the Twin City area all their lives.
Mr. Wilson was 49 and Mrs. Wilson was 50. Mrs. Wilson was the former Norma Teresa Holst. They were married in Kitchener in 1937.
Mr. Wilson served with the Essex Scottish Regiment during the Second World War. He was a member of the Waterloo Legion and his wife was a member of the ladies auxiliary. Both were members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bridgeport.
Mr. Wilson was employed as a machine operator at Carling Breweries Ltd. in Waterloo for 23 years.
They are survived by three sons, William John of Levack, John and Rory George, both of Kitchener; one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Gloria) Nordby of Kitchener; and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Wilson is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Ervin Holst of Kitchener. Mr. Wilson is also survived by a step-sister, Mrs. Edward (Joan) Williams of Toronto.
Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his father, Walter Wilson, and his mother, Mrs. George Draper. Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her father.
Donations to the Salvation Army will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
