Notes |
- Mr. Otto M. Umbach is a son of Rev. S. Umbach, professor of theology at the Evang. Seminary in Napierville, Ill. He was born in New York State in 1860 and came to Canada when 4 years of age. His first occupation after having obtained a fair education, was milling. At this trade he remained 8 years. Then he took a position as book-keeper in a general store in Rodney, Ont. Later he became book-keeper for the Waterloo Manufacturing Co., where he remained 13 years. About a year ago he became interested in the Elmira Agricultural Works Company, in which he acquired stock. He now superintends the office work and the agencies and is a decided acquisition to the managing staff of this prospering manufacturing establishment.
