  SCOTT, Phyllis Mabel (nee McIntyre) Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2016 at her residence Nithview Home, New Hamburg, Phyllis Scott formerly of RR#1 Plattsville in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Scott who predeceased her on January 21, 2006. Loving mother of Elizabeth and husband Paul McNamara of Windsor, Barbara and husband John Zehr of Haysville, Howard and wife Phyllis of Montreal, Philip of RR#1 Plattsville and Patricia Scott of Mississauga. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Cathy and Steve, Rob and Nancy, John and Brea, Greg and Becky, Leanne and John and by great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Josh, Abbyanne, Jameson, Sophie, Danica, Georgia and John. Survived by her sister-in-law Eileen McIntyre of New Hamburg and brother-in-law Russell Scott and wife Grace of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents Elmer McIntyre and Beatrice Laschinger, sisters Marjorie Baird, Jane Waldie, Grace Barritt and by brothers Alex, Ralph and Bruce McIntyre. Phyllis was born and raised in Haysville and attended New Hamburg Continuation School and the Stratford Normal School. She taught at one room schools in North Easthope and Washington. After her marriage in 1948 she became a full time farm wife and mother. Phyllis was an active member of the former Chesterfield United Church where she belonged to the Choir and the U.C. W., a life member of the Haysville W.I. and a former member of the Haysville Sunshine Club. Relatives and friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home , 40 William Street, Plattsville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted in the Peace United Church, Plattsville on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2: 00 p.m. Interment Chesterfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society, Peace United Church or Nithview Home Congregation (cheques accepted) and would be appreciated by the family.
