Notes |
- MRS. EDWIN DANIEL.
The lamented death occurred on Feb. 9th, at her home in Guelph, 50 Park-ave., after an illness of about three years, of Mrs. Edwin Daniel, one of the most respected ladies of Guelph. Deceased, whose maiden name was Rachel Parker Plum, was born at Haysville, Waterloo county, in March, 1840, of English parents, being a native of Cambridge, and folk. In 1859 she married Mr. Edwin Daniel, and resided in Wilmot township until 1859 when she moved to Guelph. The deceased was for nearly twenty-five years a devout member of the Dublin street church, in which she took, while her health permitted, an active part in the work of the Ladies' Aid and Missionary Societies. There are no children. Besides her husband she leaves one brother and four sisters, who are: Mr. W. R. Plum of New Hamburg; Mrs. Pasey, of Morristown, Pa.; Mrs. H. M. Green, Ridgetown; Mrs. Flowers, of Vancouver, B.C., and Mrs. J. A. Laird, of Berlin. A sister, Mrs. (Dr.) Nichol, of Sebringville, died last August. The funeral took place on Friday, Feb. 11th, from her late residence to the Union cemetery, Guelph.
