    • RAYMOND ERVIN HOFFER

Raymond Ervin Hoffer, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin S. Hoffer, died suddenly at the home of his parents early Friday morning. Raymond had been ill since last January, and had been a patient at the K-W Hospital for treatment during the summer months. For the past three months he had been confined to his bed at home. Every medical aid had been employed but despite these treatments this bright, active life was ended.

Born in Elmira on June 30, 1924, he had lived in this community his entire lifetime. Raymond was a member of Zion Evangelical church and Sunday school.

Surviving are his mother and father, two brothers, Murray and Donald at home; one grandmother, Mrs. N. B. Hoffer; six aunts and uncles, cousins and a host of friends and pals.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon with a private service at his late home, followed by a public memorial service which was largely attended, at Zion Evangelical church. Rev. C. H. Cornwell, pastor of Olivet Church, Kitchener, preached the sermon, with Rev. E. N. Mohr, pastor of Zion Church, conducting the service.
