      It is with great sadness that the family announces, the passing of their father, on Sunday, August 1, 2004, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital at the age of 88 years. Ray was predeceased by his wife, Hazel (1998) after 52 years of marriage and his parents, John and Annie Evens. He is survived by his eight children, Brian, Mary Ann, Wayne and his wife Emily, Steven and his wife Kerry, Craig and his wife Val, Scott, Sandra and her husband Ed Tone and Shawn. Grandpa will be dearly missed by Andrew and Tyler Evens, Adam and Kayla Tone and Kaitlyn Evens. Ray is also survived by his brothers, Stanley and his wife Ann, Nelson and Alan and his sisters, Margery Pfanner and Myrtle Hexamer. He was predeceased by his brothers, Rueben, William, Robert, Donald, John and his sister, Elsie Hill and one brother-in-law, Russell Pfanner. He leaves behind many nieces; nephews; cousins; his brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law. At Ray's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, 653-3251, on Thursday, August 5, 2004 from 2-4 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
