    • Richard R. Gehl of 203 Kent Ave. Kitchener, died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 74. Born in St. Clements, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reinhardt Gehl he was employed at Canadian Blower and Forge Co. for 40 years prior to retiring in 1965. Mr. Gehl was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, branch 50. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Pearl Puttock, in 1948 and by one daughter. Surviving are four sons, John and Donald, at home, Richard of Kitchener and Frank of Toronto, five daughters, Mrs. James (Ruth) McDonnell, Mrs. Edgar (Shirley) Harvey and Mrs. Dale (Barbara) Wilson, all of Kitchener. Mrs. Leonard (Mary) Bruggeman of Terrace, B.C. and Mrs. Reginald (Jean) Michaud of Sudbury; one brother, George of London; four sisters, Mrs. Aaron (Rosetta) Metz, Mrs. George (Carrie) Meinzinger and Mrs. Anthony (Johannah) Graf, all of Kitchener and Mrs. John (Margaret) Brenner of St. Clements, and 23 grandchildren. The body was at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary was recited on Tuesday at 8 p.m. and prayers were said today at 8: 30 a.m. followed by removal to St. Joseph's RC Church for requiem high mass at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
