  HASKELL, Robert Blake "Rob" Tragically, as the result of an automobile accident, in his 45th year. Beloved husband of Elvira and beloved father of Blake and Breann. Rob will be dearly missed by his mother-in-law, Maria Braga and the late Manuel Braga; his sister-in-law, Veni and her husband Saul. Cherished godfather of Britney. Also surviving is his mother, Joyce Ramello; his father, Doug Haskell of Goderich; his brother, Lloyd of Goderich and his two sisters, Connie of Penn., USA and Jenny of Ridgetown. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Friday (today) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ambrose RC Church on Saturday, November 24, 2007, at 10: 30 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery. Vigil service Friday (today) at 7: 30 p.m., at the funeral home. The Record Newspaper 23 Nov 2007 pg B5 A Cambridge man died late yesterday afternoon, after the pickup truck he was driving struck an SUV head-on along Franklin Boulevard. Robert Haskell, 44, succumbed to his injuries at hospital, after hitting a Lexus sport utility vehicle carrying two other Cambridge men, in busy rush-hour traffic, at about 4: 45 p.m. The men in the Lexus were also taken to Cambridge Memorial Hospital, treated for minor injuries and released. Police say rain and poor visibility, may have contributed to the crash. Alcohol is not believed to he a factor. It wasn't known if Haskell was wearing a seatbelt. "All we know is one vehicle was northbound, the other was southbound, and what happened after that, we're still trying to put the pieces together," said Sgt. Fred Gregory The crash, near McClaren Avenue, shut down a stretch of Franklin Boulevard, for about five hours.
