  SHANTZ, Robin R. Of 522 West-minster Drive S., Cambridge, on Thursday, June 22, 1989, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Beloved husband of Estella Irvine; dear father of Richard of Vancouver, Ronald of Toronto and Malcolm of London, Ont. Lovingly remembered by six grandchildren; one brother, Douglas of Montreal and two sisters, Mrs. Lois Schrumm and Marjorie, Mrs. Desmond Singleton, both of Cambridge. Mr. Shantz was born in Toronto and came to Cambridge (P) in 1945. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church, the Preston Masonic Lodge, Cambridge Shrine Club, Preston Chapter of R.A.M. and the Royal Canadian Legion, Preston Branch No. 126. He served with the RCAF in the Second World War and was a former member of the Preston Board of Education and a Councilman of the first Cambridge Council. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Friday), 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 24, 1989.
