      Rodney was born in Plympton, Devon England, passed away at home in Baden, Ontario age 77 after a short illness. Rodney was formerly of Georgetown, Ontario. He was the son of the late Charles & Elizabeth (Williams) Grant. He is survived by his wife Valerie (Emmans) with whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage, sons Colin of Kenora, Ontario, Craig (Heather) of Erin, Ontario and daughter Alison (Kevin) Las Vegas, Nevada. Sadly missed by his granddaughters Riley, Megan and Kelsey. Remembered by brother Bryan of British Columbia and predeceased by younger brother Michael, his aunt Doris Clarke of Brampton, Ontario and by many nieces, nephews and friends.

      Rodney arrived in Canada in 1953 with his parents from England. He began his long aviation career working fro Field Aviation in Oshawa. His career took him around the world from the Arctic to Asia and all points in between. He retired as Chief Engineer of Aviation for TransCanada Pipelines Calgary, Alberta after 30 years of service. His love of auto sport, curling, muskie fishing and lawn bowling kept him active until ill health. He will be missed by the Professional Businessmen's Association to which he was a member.

      The funeral service for Rodney will take place at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday June 7, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Swartwood officiating. Interment to follow in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Wilmot Township. Everyone is invited after the interment for a reception at Foxboro Green Rec Centre. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Lung Association.
