  DOWNEY, Rose G. (Runstedler) Tuesday, June 23, 2015, Rose passed away peacefully, in her 79th year, surrounded by her loving family at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Beloved wife and best friend of Maurice for over 60 years. Loving mother of Linda (Murray) Buchan, Karen Downey, Dennis (Dana) Downey, Stephen (Evelyn) Downey, Terry (Mary) Downey, and Darlene (Rick) Hauser. Proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings Irene Geier and Gerard Runstedler. Rose has been reunited with her youngest son, the handsome "Young Prince Philip". Also, predeceased by her parents Anthony and Regina (Strauss) Runstedler, three brothers Hubert, Jacob, and Walter, and four sisters Doretta Bratherton, Eleanor Kroetsch, Shirley Lessard, and Monica Witmer. Rose's greatest passion in life was the love of her family and a good game of cards. She will be missed immensely by the many lives she has touched. Rose's family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila RC Church, 19 Flamingo Dr., Elmira on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. A private burial service will be held following the reception.
