  • Notes
    • Death of Mrs. Aloysius Haunn - We are sorry to report the death of Rosetta Rosalia Hopf, beloved wife of Mr. Alois Haunn, who passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener early on Monday morning at the age of 42 years, 11 months and 1 day. She was taken suddenly ill and was rushed to the hospital but medical aid proved to no avail. Her death was due to the hemorrhage of the stomach. The unexpected passing of Mrs. Haunn was a great shock to her numerous friends and great sympathy is felt for the family in their sad loss. The deceased was born in New Hamburg, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hopf and spent her whole life in New Hamburg. She was a devoted and active member of the Roman Catholic Church and through her kind and sympathetic disposition she endeared herself to a wide circle of friends, who will greatly miss her departure from the earthly sphere. There are left in bereavement her husband, two daughters, Marie and Josephine, and four sons, Paul, John, Ernie, and Max, besides one brother, John Hopf, of Woodstock. The funeral was held on Wednesday forenoon to the local RC. Church and cemetery and was attended by an exceptionally large circle of relatives and friend.
