    • Ross Anthony Heimler, age 90, passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital, Monday December 19, 2011.

      He was born in Owen Sound, son of the late Norman and Theresa Heimler, graduating from Ontario College of Art and designed stationery until the age of 40 when he trained and taught at Metropolitan Toronto Separate School Board until retiring in 1973.

      In 1973 he moved to Mornington Township and in 1990 he moved to Stratford.

      He served in RCAF from 1941 to 1945 and was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church.

      Beloved husband of Joyce Evaline Terry who predeceased him in 2001.

      Beloved brother of Aileen Whitmore, Orangeville, brother-in-law of Peter and Leslie Terry, Frederick and Darlene Terry and Maureen Kelly.

      Uncle of Mark and Nancy Whitmore, Michael Whitmore, Linda and Ralph Bailey.

      Also survived by several grand-nieces and nephews.

      Friends and relatives may visit the W. G. Young Funeral Home , 430 Huron Street, Stratford, Ontario on Friday, December 23rd from 10 a.m. until 10: 45 a.m., when transfer will be to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Stratford, for funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dick Bester.

      Interment will be in St. Clements Cemetery.

      Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation through the funeral home.
