- ROBINSON, Russell Llewellen - Passed away, at Freeport Hospital Health Care Village, Kitchener, on Thursday, Sept. 26, 1991, Russell L. Robinson, in his 77th year, of Waterloo.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Nellie (Giese) Robinson of Waterloo; three sons and two daughters; Ray and his wife Greta of Guelph, Leonard and his wife Ferne of Kitchener, Gladys Delion and her husband Rodger of Waterloo, Robert and his wife Rose of Kamloops, B.C., Brenda Ouellete of Waterloo, loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Jack of British Columbia, Ernie of St. Williams, Eva and Violet of British Columbia and Dorothy of Barrie.
Predeceased by two brothers, Clayton and Louis; one sister, Eileen and one grandson, Shawn.
Mr. Robinson was a veteran of the Second World War serving overseas from 1939 to 1945, attaining the rank of Company Sergeant Major with the Royal Canadian Regiment. He owned and operated Russ Robinson Heating in Waterloo for many years. He was a founding member of the Waterloo Legion Branch No. 530 and was an active member of AA for 37 years.
The family will receive friends at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Friday, Sept. 27 from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 9-11 am. Funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel, Rev. Norman Lange officiating. Interment will be n St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery, Linwood.
