- SAMUEL A. STAGER
HESPELER, Sep. 22. The death of Samuel A. Stager, occurred at his home, Guelph street, here this morning. The deceased was in his 69 year. The late Mr. Stager had been ill for only a short time and death was thought to be due to a paralytic stroke. The deceased was born in Waterloo township and lived on the Guelph road, where he followed the occupation of farming until eight years ago. At that time he moved to Hespeler, where he has lived since. The deceased is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Herbert Jones of New Dundee, four sons, Fred at Hespeler, Alfred at Hespeler, Leslie of Welland and Roy of Toronto. Also surviving are two sisters. Mrs M. L. Werlich of Preston and Mrs. John Livergood of Preston and one brother, Mr. Arnold Stager of Preston. The funcral will take place on Sunday afternoon, at 2: 30 o'clock, from his late residence in Hespeler and will proceed to Wanner's Cemetery, Waterloo township, where interment will be made. Rev. J. W. Hunt, pastor of the Hespeler United Church, will have charge of the service.
