Notes - ADKIN, Shelagh - Peacefully at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday November 24, 2009 at the age of 75. Cherished and devoted wife of Ron Adkin. Loving mother of Paul (Audrey), Christine, Greg (Shawn) and Shane (Candace). Special grandmother of James, Alanna, Jesse, Dexter, Myles and Theo. Also survived by her brother John (Doreen), sisters-in-law Joan and Brenda and brother-in-law Michael (Elaine). Predeceased by her brother Thomas and her sisters Kathleen, Josephine and Margaret "Peggy". Shelagh was a Registered Nurse spending the majority of her career at the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, as well as a volunteer with the Red Cross, Blood Donor Clinic. Cremation has taken place. A reception to celebrate Shelagh's life will be held at the Cambridge Newfoundland Club, 1500 Dunbar Rd., Cambridge on Sunday, November 29, 2009 from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hospital for Sick Children. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett Funeral Home, Cambridge. www.corbettfuneralhome.ca
