Passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on September 4, 2010, in his 93rd year, with his beloved wife and daughter by his side. Stanley will be forever remembered by his wife Victoria, daughter Maria and son-in-law Eric Gatner. Stanley will also be mourned by his brother-in-law, Ziggy Hackl and his wife Joan. Also nephews, in B.C. and Oakville. Predeceased by his parents, John and Katarina and brothers, Walter and Mark. Born in Poland on November 28, 1917, Stanley immigrated to Canada, with the help of the Mennonites and settled in Elmira. In 1952 he moved to Cambridge. He was a precision welder and retired from C.M.C. Stanley was a longtime member of the Polish Alliance Branch #627. The family will receive friends at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Clement's R.C. Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.
