- DEATH OF MRS. GRUETZNER
The death occurred in Hanover on Saturday last of Mrs. Theda Gruetzner, relict of the late Rev. F. Gruetzner, at the advanced of 85 years 22 days. She had been ill for about 15 weeks commencing with pneumonia. Death was due with practically to old age. She possessed a magnificent constitution, enjoyed good health all her life and was conscious almost up to the last. Deceased was born at Neustadt, Goldens, East Frisia, on May 1st, 1830. Her maiden, name was the Theda Schulte. She emigrated to the United States in 1850, and the following year married the late Rev. E. Gruetzner. Their union was blessed with nine children, six of whom are living. More than three ago Mr. and Mrs. Gruetzner celebrated their diamond wedding. Mr. Gruetzner passed away December 29, 1913. The following children survive: Mrs. A. Lautenschlaeger, of New Dundee, Miss E. Gruetzner, of Hanover, G. A. Gruetzner of Hespeler, Edward, Herman and Theo. Hanover. She is also survived by seventeen grand-children, eight great grand-children, and two brothers, Mr. J. A. Schulte, of Philadelphia, and Rev. G. A. Schulte of Newark. The funeral took place to the Hanover cemetery on Tuesday afternoon memorial service … being the interment. - Hanover Post.
