  Theodore's birth and baptismal record is found on Ancestry for the district of Ilawa u Trumiejki, Poland. He was the first son and the second child. He was born on the 10th of September 1868 at 5 in the afternoon and he was baptized on the 20th of September 1868. The witnesses at his baptism were Gottlieb Lemke, Johann Leiskau, August Reschke, Augustine Lemke, August Mollzahn and Wilhelmina Reschke. He was born at Gross Gilwe A, Marienwerder District, West Prussia. His father was Friedrich Kischel and his mother was Caroline born Lemke. His eldest sibling was Ida Bertha Kischel who was born on the 18th of November 1866 and she died on the 29th of September 1868. She was buried on the 1st of October 1868. Ida died, 9 days after the baptismal of her brother, in her 2nd year. His second sister Maria Emma Martha Kischel was born in 1870 and died in 1870 in Gross Gilwe A, Marienwerder, West Prussia. Theodore also had a sibling born on the 6th of February 1872 and baptized on the 14th of February 1872. His brother was Frederick William Kischel. Frederick died on the 26th of May 1872 and he was buried on the 28th of May 1872. He was only 2 months old. Theodore left West Prussia, now Poland after the death of his paternal grandmother Christine born Schuttkowski. His next sibling Eli Kischel was born April 1873 on the ship while they were traveling to Baden, Wilmot Township, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada. Three siblings were born and buried in Gross Gilwe A, Marienwerder, West Prussia. Five more siblings were born in Baden, Wilmot Township, Waterloo County, Ontario, Canada. His sister Emma Kischel was born in Baden, Ontario, Canada in 1875 and she died in 1875. Theodore married Augusta born Piellusch in the Village of Baden, Ontario, Canada.
