- ELMIRA - Valentine (Felty) Gerth, 73, of 17 South St., died suddenly early today at the K-W Hospital. Born in Linwood on Feb. 10, 1879, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Gerth. Surviving are his wife, the former Ida Duench; one son, Ivan, Paris, Ont.; one brother, Henry, Kitchener; one stepbrother, Emmanuel, Linwood; two stepsisters, Mrs. Jacob Lantz and Mrs. Hans Reble, both of Linwood, and two grandchildren. One son and one sister predeceased him. The body is at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor here. Funeral service will be held in the funeral chapel Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. H. W. Baetz of St. James Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Milverton Cemetery.
